description One of the best-kept secrets of southern Wisconsin, Lake Kegonsa State Park offers a variety of recreational activities set along its 3,200-acre lake. Features include oak woodlands, prairies, and wetlands. There is a swimming beach and a boat launch within 1 mile of the campground. Fishing opportunities are excellent on Lake Kegonsa, and fishing from a boat is preferred. There are hiking trails and picnic areas and local marinas have boats available to rent. All sites are fully or partially wooded.
drivingDirection Exit I-90 at Exit 147, Hwy N. Go south on Hwy N, then turn west on Koshkonong Road, turn south on Door Creek Road. It is approximately 4 miles from the freeway exit to the park. There are signs to direct you at every intersection.

importantInformation All sites are closed to camping when not on reservations. Generators are not allowed in the campground. Setting up your camp is not allowed between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. If all the members of your camping party will not arrive at the same time, please make sure that everyone knows the confirmation number and the name on the reservation. Boats must be removed from the lake and returned to the campsite daily. Fishing licenses are required for anyone over 15 yrs of age. Pets must be leashed and attended at all times. Pets are restricted to specific areas. The campgrounds are designated as "Quiet Zones". Vehicle admission stickers are required in addition to the camping fee. Click here for cost of the sticker. Between early May and mid June for one day there will be aerial spraying for Gypsy Moths in the early morning hours, areas of the park may include the campground. The aerial spraying is not harmful to humans and visitors can go to website http://gypsymoth.wi.gov/ . Or they can call the 1800-642-MOTH info line or more information. Shower/flush toilet buildings open approximately May 1, 2015. Shower/flush toilet buildings close approximately October 31, 2015. Dump station open approximately May 1, 2015. Dump Station Closes approximately October 31, 2015. These facilities are weather dependent and dates can change.
